Megan Finnerty is a page one journalist with 10 years at The Arizona Republic and azcentral.com. She spent almost two years at KPNX-TV. She covers social, sporting and cultural events for print, TV, social media and the web. She generates perceptual scoops for The Arizona Republic and USA Today, along with video and interactive online features for the web, as well as daily TV packages for the lifestyle and pop culture TV show, EVB Live. She founded the Arizona Storytellers Project, which won a Rocky Mountain Emmy Award. The series of monthly nights was recognized for how it involves its audience, from telling their stories in print to video taping them for online to inviting them on stage to tell at live events. The project also won a National Headliner Awards for first place in Journalistic Innovation. She was also named a finalist for the John S. Knight Journalism Fellowship at Stanford University.
