26 Blocks is on the 2nd floor of Burton Barr Phoenix Public Library. It will be there until January 27 and is the centerpiece of the Friends of the Phoenix Public Library conference the weekend of the 14th. That weekend,  librarians from Arizona’s major libraries  (Flagstaff, Tucson, Prescott, etc.) are coming to Burton Barr to learn how and why the library is much more than a place to hold books:

The library can–and should be–a place to inspire and build the community that surrounds it.

  1. WOW…a tour of all the changes at Burton Barr. Great that [the Phoenix Public Library] ‘block’ will be included in 26 Blocks tour. Is there any way that Will Bruder, lead design architect of [the library], can participate in your planned tour? He is a great story teller and will make it an interesting journey.
